REIKI 1 - SHODEN

FIRST TEACHINGS

The wonderful, natural, and effective healing art of Reiki can be easily learned by anyone, no matter what their age, experience, background, or religious beliefs. It is an inherent ability in each and every one of us. The techniques are very simple to learn and incorporate seamlessly into your everyday life so that you can enjoy the numerous benefits it brings.

This Reiki 1 course is a fascinating and practical introduction to working with energy. You will begin your journey of self-discovery, explore ways to cultivate well-being, developing mental and emotional resilience, empathy & intuition, and laying down solid foundations for future learning.

REIKI 2 - OKUDEN

INNER TEACHINGS

The Second Degree Reiki class is designed to further develop the skills and intuitive abilities of the Reiki Practitioner.  The student’s ability to connect with Universal and Earth energy is considerably strengthened.  

 

You will learn:

 

  • The three principal Reiki symbols & mantras

  • Releasing the limitations of time and space

  • How to heal from a distance

  • Intuitive scanning/reading

  • How to treat more than one person at a time

  • How to schedule Reiki

  • How to heal past life or karmic issues

  • How to focus and amplify the power of Reiki energy 

  • How to cleanse rooms, crystals, and other objects

  • How to restore mental, psychological, and emotional balance

  • Questioning & reprogramming cellular memory

REIKI 3 - SHINPIDEN

MYSTERY TEACHINGS

Perhaps the greatest joy of Reiki is being able to share what you have learned with others and to watch them flourish as Reiki practitioners and teachers in their own right. This third-degree Reiki course is intended for the Reiki practitioner who already has a well-established practice and who wishes to delve in more deeply. It is suitable for those who wish to teach others, as well as those who simply wish to continue their personal development and to be able to transmit Reiki to friends and family from time to time. 

 

Becoming a Reiki Teacher is another step on the journey to self-discovery, and should in no way be considered to be the end of a student's learning. Students are encouraged to cultivate a deep appreciation and reverence for Reiki, a commitment to regular practice, personal development and self-healing, and a willingness to be guided by Reiki in all aspects of life. Students must be able to demonstrate that they have the required level prior to taking the course. The student’s ability to work with the Reiki energies will be considerably reinforced, and they will deepen their esoteric understanding.

This course will include:

 

  • Attunement to the Master symbol

  • Revision of the symbols and techniques studied in previous levels

  • Raku

  • The Antahkarana

  • Passing Reiki attunements - Reiju

  • Remote attunements

  • Teachers responsibilities & ethics

  • Teaching Reiki

  • A certificate upon successful completion of the course

FURTHER INFORMATION

Courses are typically taught over two days to allow students plenty of time to practice and integrate the energies and teachings.  Online courses tend to be of shorter duration and allow for personal reflection and practice in between.

 

It may be possible to configure courses differently to suit particular needs. I am very much open to teaching individuals on a one-to-one basis and I love to travel, so am happy to teach groups in other regions or countries on request. I am able to adapt core teachings (energy work, mindfulness, intuitive and personal development, etc) to fit within the context of retreats and events of varying durations. Open to Reiki practitioners of all lineages around the world, no matter what your level of experience.

​

Join us to practice together. In each session we will contemplate a particular theme more deeply. It may be a precept, a meditation, a concept, intuitive development. Every time we meet there will be something to ponder, a short reading, a practical exercise, the sharing of Reiju (an energetic ritual enabling students to draw the Ki to support them on their spiritual journey), and time to share with fellow Reiki practitioners.

We meet in person or on Zoom, which is very user-friendly. In-person classes last two hours. Zoom classes last around 1 1/2 hours. They are not video classes. I aim to keep the spirit of a traditional classroom as far as possible.

EQUINE & ANIMAL REIKI

Generally animals love Reiki; it is gentle and non-invasive but the results are frequently powerful and effective.  The sensitivity of animals means that they are particularly receptive to energy treatments. 

 

As in humans, behavioural problems and many illnesses (vices, ulcers, a drop in physical condition or sporting performance, digestive problems) are often linked to emotional conditions. Our domestic pets frequently hold up a mirror to the energies expressed by their primary carers, and to emotions such as stress, anger, fear, and depression.

 

Reiki is deeply relaxing for animals and promotes a sense of well-being and calmness. Often the animal being treated will shift body position to make sure that the  Reiki goes to the place where it is most needed, and they will make it very clear when they’ve had enough. Sessions for animals are often (but not always) shorter than those for humans.

​

For those wishing to share Reiki with their equine friends and other animals, I offer a one-day course for existing Reiki practitioners or two days for those who have never practised Reiki before. All the aspects in a traditional Reiki Level 1 course are covered, with a greater emphasis on treatment from the horse's perspective. Courses are available on request. If you are interested in learning, do contact me, even if no courses are currently organized.
